Our regional seminar series for Autumn 2007 offers two topics:

  • Understanding urban design

Seminars bring together UDS's experience of urban design training for government, local authorities, councillors and the private sector.

Seminars are recognised as CPD by the Urban Design Group.

Design and access statements

Design and access statements are set to become the most important interface between local authorities and planning applicants. The quality of the statements and local authorities' skill in using them will help to determine the quality of design - and how smooth the planning process is. This seminar focuses on how to write, assess and use the statements.

Seminar dates
Newcastle, Thursday 27 September
Liverpool, Thursday 4 October
Leeds, Wednesday 10 October
Birmingham, Wednesday 17 October
