London workers have much lower carbon footprints than others in the UK, says report
New research published that analyses the individual carbon footprint of workers by sector in different parts of the country shows that workers in London represent an average footprint of 5.18 tonnes of carbon dioxide each year. This compares with 10.32 tonnes per employee in Scotland, and 18.55 tonnes in Wales.
The research also identified that the environmental footprint of workers in the north-east has the most room for improvement, with each active adult representing nearly 25 tonnes of emissions each year.
