Plans for £50m ‘green’ business park and research facility for east London unveiled
Plans for a £50m ‘green’ business park, The Sustainable Industries Park in East London, have recently been unveiled. The Park, in Dagenham Dock will cover 60 acres, and aims to house hundreds of eco friendly companies.
The London Thames Gateway Development Corporation which is behind the project also plans to build a research laboratory, The Institute for Sustainability, which would allow scientists to work on products and processes in the renewable energy sector. The Corporation has already invested £19 million in the park, which it believes could create 1500 jobs, and put east London into the forefront of renewable energy research and development.
