Community website supports the move to eco-friendly building, working and living
The UK public has voiced its wish to see decisive action taken to see the UK's built environment housing stock given a serious green makeover. The ecoboom website, a RUDI partner, hosts a range of useful information on how we can tackle this critical issue.
Almost 50 per cent of UK carbon dioxide emissions comes from buildings and around 10 per cent comes from the manufacture, transportation and erection of building materials. The construction industry produces around 120,000,000 tonnes of waste a year. Ecoboom believes that we should all start taking small steps now and continue to do so every year, until we collectively reach a sustainable lifestyle.
Ecoboom is also an inclusive website, supporting a community of eco-pragmatists. The site also has an up-to-date news section pulling together relevant news sources from around the world.
Ecoboom features news and advice on the different types of eco-friendly building systems, such as straw-bale construction, building systems, renewables and renewable resources, building materials and fixtures and fittings.
