Find out what happened at the second annual conference on art & urban design
The second annual "A Place for Creativity?"conference organised by RUDI in partnership with Places Matter! brought together all those involved in placemaking, art and design that have an interest in creating unique, interesting and stimulating places for people to live, work and play.
The venue for this important national conference the Lowry Gallery, set in a magnificent waterside location at the heart of the redeveloped Salford Quays, the architecturally dramatic venue inspired a stimulating environment for debate and discussion.
The event explored collaborative working practices, the role of artists and the creative community in making better places, as well as looking at how projects can and should be funded and ways of engaging the people that live and work in the places of focus for design and artistic intervention.
