The 3rd Annual Re-making Places Conference - 21st January 2010
Places in Transition
Re-designing urban areas for current needs & a sustainable future
21st January 2010 | The German Gymnasium, Kings Cross, London NW1

This conference provides an opportunity for all those involved in shaping urban places to hear latest thinking and explore new techniques for redesigning and remodelling urban areas.
Redesigning and remodelling places to cater for modern styles of life and a sustainable future can ensure urban areas remain vibrant and liveable places.
But what are the key ingredients for creating successful urban environments? And what are the techniques for re-designing and improving places so they are suited for a better urban future?
This year’s conferences welcomes experts in urban design, town and transport planning, regeneration, city leadership, and sustainable development to explore different approaches and new techniques available for redesigning, re-engineering and remodelling urban environments for current challenges.
It is particularly important in restrictive economic times that those involved in shaping urban areas work together to maintain overall vibrancy and quality of places when schemes maybe put on hold or have to be reviewed for their viability.
