The Journal of Architecture is an international journal committed to advancing theory, research and practice for design in the built environment. This journal is subject to a peer-review process. It is the intention that The Journal be international in its scope and unique in its field. It seeks diverse views relevant to the future of architecture and its reception in the world, and to attract a wide variety of perceptions, from the architectural and related professions, government and industry. As part of its service, The Journal wishes to assist architects in teaching by being a citable, refereed publication and by promoting ideas, and to provide a service to practitioners in career development, by advancing design thinking and approaches to building. The editorial policy is to encourage critical debate, outspokenness, and independence of entrenched interests and fashion, and to maximise the role of The Journal as an international forum.
