Project names: BRIEF for Consultancy Services

Hampshire County Council working on behalf of the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire (PUSH) Quality Places Task Group wishes to commission Consultancy Services to:

Engage Young People in a conversation about what it means to make and live in Quality Place and creating an arena where their views can influence today’s decision makers.

Project Scope: Capture of Voice for influence in the planning and development of Quality Places in the PUSH and wider Hampshire Area with the aim of developing a cohort of young people with enhanced capacity to engage in debates and make a useful and informed contribution relating to future growth

There is a budget limit on quotations of up to £40,000 exclusive of VAT, and inclusive of travel, engagement, publication, venues, web, visits, marketing and other out-of-pocket expenses associated with the project.

Project Summary

SHORT DESCRIPTION OF NATURE AND SCOPE OF WORKS:
Bradford is a city rich in culture, architecture and attractions.

As the former “Wool Capital” of the World, Bradford was once famed for its industrial excellence within the textiles sector. The Wool Exchange and “Little Germany”, the former wool merchants’ area of the city, reflect this industrial heritage. Whilst retaining many of its unique features, Bradford is now a very cosmopolitan city with a diverse cultural mix.

Skills Required

The Contractor must demonstrate experience in the construction of high quality public realm to an exceptional quality. The management of the site is expected to be complex, and there will be interaction between a large number of trades including civil and structural engineering, construction of unusual building to a high architectural quality, water features and hard and soft landscaping. The Contractor will need to exhibit their skills in communication with the public.

Estimated cost of works excluding VAT: 16 600 000,00 GBP.
