BURA was formed in 1990 to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas, experience and information for the emerging regeneration sector. BURA has now become the leading independent organisation in the field of regeneration. Their strong and influential membership reflects the growing knowledge and expertise that BURA has at its disposal. BURA is seen by the private sector, the public sector, the not-for-profit sector and government departments alike as a key organisation within the whole area of regeneration.

By promoting best practice in all aspects of regeneration, BURA is able to use the wealth of experiences and lessons learned by its award winners to help understand and define the mechanisms for success. BURA’s nationally acclaimed events and regional networks are excellent examples of their ability to draw together organisations from all sectors to help promote best practice, to share experiences and act as a catalyst for successful partnerships. The services BURA offers to its membership are unique within regeneration. As a charitable, not-for-profit organisation, BURA are able to keep costs as low as possible to ensure value for money, yet are flexible enough to adapt and respond to the diverse needs of their membership.
