Save the date: Designing for Cycling Infrastructure and Walking | 13 Nov 2013 | London Kia Oval

Is segregation the way forward on busier roads? Which schemes around the world are proving both successful and cost-effective? How do we improve appraisal and modelling when planning and budgeting for cycling and walking infrastructure? What added value do effective schemes deliver for the urban realm?

State of the Nation: capacity and skills

The State of the Nation report has been compiled each year since 2000 by a panel of experts drawn from the various fields of expertise across ICE’s membership. Its aim is to stimulate debate and to highlight the actions that we believe are needed to improve the state of the nation’s infrastructure.

This year, instead of providing one report covering all infrastructure issues, ICE is publishing several State of the Nation reports throughout the year, each focused on a specific issue which will affect the delivery of effective infrastructure for the UK.
